Frames

American Vision at the Court offers an expansive selection of unique eyeglasses and sunglasses. Unlike Big Box stores and chains, we shop with independent, global vendors to hand-select frames that suit our customers’ individual styles and optical needs. When selecting eyewear, American Vision buyers place equal emphasis on quality, fit and comfort as well as style and fashion trends.

Customer satisfaction is the key to success at American Vision. With extensive product knowledge and years of experience to provide excellent, honest advice and support, we ensure that customers will make the best choice from our variety of eyeglasses and sunglasses.

Sunglasses

Sunglasses do more than keep you from squinting. They also protect your eyes from harmful ultraviolet (UV) light, the ultrashort wavelength of light that causes skin damage and sunburn. Studies indicate that long-term exposure to the sun without eye protection can contribute to cataracts, macular degeneration and growths on the eye. That’s why we recommend 100% UV-absorbent sunglasses.

American Vision at The Court offers a variety of sunglass options, including polarized sunglasses that reduce glare from light reflecting off water, roads, automobiles, snow and more.

Lenses

Despite our love for frames and optical design, we will be the first to admit lenses just aren’t that sexy to most people. However, we understand that seeing better is of utmost importance.

We also understand that helping you see better is our job, and we take that seriously. If you haven’t purchased new eyeglass lenses in the last few years, you will be amazed with the advances in lens technology that allow eyeglass-wearers better vision with thinner, lighter-weight materials.

Lens-optics

Anti Glare

Anti-reflective or anti-glare technology improves vision, reduces eye strain and makes your eyeglasses look more attractive. The anti-glare technology virtually eliminates reflections from the front and back surfaces of your eyeglass lenses, providing better vision for night driving and computer use.
The Glacier and Crizal families of AR lenses make your lenses more scratch resistant, provides UV protection and filters out harmful Blue Light.

Progressive

Progressive lenses or no-line bifocals, give you a more youthful appearance by eliminating the visible lines found in bifocal and trifocal lenses. They also provide the ability to see at all distances, including arm’s length for computer use, cell phone use and even items on a grocery store shelf.

Progressive lenses mimic the natural vision you experienced before presbyopia set in. Multi focal lenses provide a smooth, seamless progression of multiple lens powers for clear vision across the room, up close and all distances in between. With the newest technology, we can deliver lenses that provide a clearer, more accurate experience from edge to edge.

All progressive lenses are NOT the same. Ask us which lenses would be best for your prescription, your life- style and the frame you choose.

Blue Light

Blue light is light emitted from all screens – computer, TV, gaming to name a few and can cause sleep loss, eye fatigue and headaches. People that are exposed to blue light at a young age can see signs of macular degeneration.

Ask us about blue light blockers for your prescription lenses.

Transitions

Transition lenses seamlessly adapt to changing light. As a result of more than 25 years of research, transition lenses block 100% UVA and UVB light. They are available in multiple tint colors with and without polarization. Taking advantage of this option allows for one pair of everyday glasses – good for indoor and outdoor use.

Ask us about the newest types of transition lenses – those that get darker quicker, change back in less time and some that even get darker behind the windshield of a car.

Polarized Lenses

Sunlight reflecting off water, snow or flat roads can create glare that is annoying and often be dangerous. Blinding sun glare can cause accidents and even cataracts with long-term, unprotected exposure to the sun.
Polarized lenses can shield you against the dangers of intense glare. They have a built-in, invisible filter that make images sharper and clearer, increasing visual clarity and comfort.

Polarized lenses are available in non-prescription and prescription, bifocals and progressives.
